My Lame Halloween Costume

So I decided what I'm gonna be for Halloween this year. My girlfriend used to work at a nursing supply store, so she gave me A LOT of scrubs. I would wear them around the house because they're very comfortable (If a nurse is gonna be working 12 hour shifts, they have to be comfortable)

I opened my closest and realized my costume has been sitting there the whole time! I know it's lame, but no effort was needed to figure this year out!

I have a whole year to decide what I wanna be for next Halloween.

Don't Be Afraid To Be A Friend

They always say that you should meet people half way, and that the exchange should be met 50/50.

In Some cases it's hard for people to meet you at that half-way point. In this case, don't be afraid to be a friend. If you have to go the extra distance to get things rolling, feel free to do so! If it has to be 60/40 or even more of a stretch, make the effort.

Who knows? Maybe you'll develop a fruitful relationship.

Leaving Your Comfort Zone

Most people find it uncomfortable when they think about having to go outside of what they know. Given it can be a scary experience, but that's part of leaving your comfort zone. A lot of times you might end up finding out that you like what you've tried. But the cool thing is if you don't like it, now you know.

Just take it one step at a time. Hopefully it won't be that scary.

Trying to Stay Away From the Sickness

I hope that everyone is doing well, and that you've been avoiding the sickness. Even if you haven't gotten your flu shots, hopefully you're still jumping and jovial.

I'm trying my best to not get sick, especially since a lot of people around me are getting sick. I need to go some herbal teas, and what not.

Then I regret not going to the gym for the past 2 weeks. That usually keeps my immune system up.

Do you have any methods, or techniques to avoid getting sick?
If so, what are they?

Trying To Stay In Shape!!!

I've always been one of the ones who tries to stay in shape, but it's just not as easy as it used to be! I love working out, going to the gym, and going for runs, but lately it's been so hard to stay in shape. And I know exactly what it is...MY DIET!!!!!

The exercising part is no problem; I can go workout like it's nothing. But having to watch what I eat, that's the hardest part.

Food is delicious, no lie.

If i wanna see results, I have to eat better.

Tomorrow.

Companies That Treat You The Way You Should Be Treated. Like A Person.

I like it when companies treat you very well. It says a lot when a company goes out of their way to make sure that you're okay. Now every company says that they have excellent customer service, but in the end the ones that really do have the best service are the ones that make you feel special. We make it a point to ensure that we're doing everything possible to make sure that you're satisfied, and happy.

Start Your Day Off Right

Make sure that you start your day off right, and do it any way you can. It'll depend on what you like to do. Some people run, exercise, etc.

That may not be your thing, but I'm sure there's something that you can do that'll help you get lifted for the day.

But most importantly, make sure that you eat breakfast! It'll give you that energy that you need to push through the morning.

Songs That Make You Feel Emotions and Stuff

You Know when you listen to a song, and you start to feel an emotion? Sometimes those emotions can be sad, happy, excited, etc.

I especially love when you hear a song and it brings back memories...Oh nostalgia, how dear of a friend you are to me.

Current song that makes me feel bubbly: Hello GoodBye's Oh it is Love.

It has such a bubbly melody, and sounds just as the song sounds.

Next time you listen to a song, see if makes you feel different emotions.

"You Time"

Sometimes during the day, you just feel like everything is working against you. If it helps, you're not alone. A lot of people run into days like this.

Have you ever thought of taking a few minutes, or if you can an hour or so, just for yourself? Taking a break from your hectic day.

Everyone has their own way "releasing," or "unwinding." I personally have a few things that I do. Although there are three things I do most: 1. Go to the Gym 2. Play guitar/ukulele and 3. Have some tea.

It may not be the most lavish thing to do, but it works for me. Do something that YOU know will help you.

Take a deep breath, and take it easy from time to time.

Social Networking

Isn't social networking an amazing thing?

To see people keeping in touch through social networks is always comforting to see. Such networks are allowing people to know what's going on with their friends even if they're half way around the world!

Even so, another thing that always amazes me is how companies utilize social media outlets to get their voices heard.

Social networking allows companies to show people what it is they do, and it also gives for immediate communication.

As many of you know StarKnight is on FaceBook! We value the friendships that we've made through technology, and thank everyone who has befriended us.

We're also on Twitter!!!!!!

Incident Booklet

What is a incident booklet? Let me tell you...

An incident booklet is a little booklet that a security guard carries with them, and it is used like a notebook. In this incident booklet the guard marks down things that may be wrong. Now that's where the similarities end. Unlike a traditional notebook where you have to write down the incident, use a lot of paper, and spend time writing (time that could have been spent monitoring the area) all of that will have been done with the simple click of the scanner. Yes, that's it. All you have to do is scan the RFID (If you're unfamiliar with what a RFID is, I have a previous blog explaining what it is) and digitally mark down what the incident is. Simplicity is great, isn't it?

Let's look at an example, shall we?
A security guard is patrolling their area, and notices graffiti. Instead of having to write down the details of what happened, he just pulls out his incident booklet, scans that there's graffiti, and move on to his next post. The guards activity will be logged, and will be taken care of.

Different incidents can be programmed into the incident booklet, which is connected to a main computer, and kept track of. Afterwards you can decide whether or not to print it out for your hardcopy records, or store it digitally.

Since the security guards are able to save time they can continue maintaining their posts efficiently.

Security Guard Tour System That Helps You Sleep At Night!

For over 25 years, StarKnight has helped security companies protect their customer's valuable assets. Security guard management is a frustration in itself without a simple & easy to use management system. Security guard tour systems are frequently used by most security companies inefficiently, resulting in poor tracking results and increase in crime rate in certain areas of the world. The presence of uniformed security guards has become a pervasive feature of today’s world.
Guard tour systems are seen throughout most cities, shopping malls, hospitals, parking lots, office complexes, college campuses, and many more locations. With retention rates at an all time high in the security guard industry most guard companies are losing clients and losing them quick! In order to maintain profit margins most companies require the minimum when it comes to background checks.
So what is the solution? There is only so much a company can do to maintain a reputation. Using a reliable and durable security guard tour system will allow you to manage all your security guards and your client’s valuable assets using one easy to use security guard tour system.

RFID

Radio Frequency Identification. That's the technology that StarKnight uses in their Security Guard Tour Systems. Simply put, it's a small electronic device that you can place on walls, in certain objects, underwater, etc. that get scanned to acknowledge that the area has been patrolled. Sounds easy, that's because it is! RFID's can be hidden in discrete locations, and be kept hidden from sight. Even when it's hidden it can still be scanned!
